About the Author
Dr. Robert L. Mathis is professor emeritus of management at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). Born and raised in Texas, he received his BBA and MBA from Texas Tech University and a Ph.D. in Management and Organization from the University of Colorado. At UNO, he has received the "Excellence in Teaching" award. Dr. Mathis has co-authored several books and published numerous articles covering a variety of topics. He also has held national offices in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and served as president of the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). In addition, he is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by HRCI. He has had extensive consulting experiences with organizations of all sizes and in a variety of areas. Firms assisted have been in the telecommunications, telemarketing, financial, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and utility industries. Dr. Mathis has extensive specialized consulting experience in establishing or revising compensation plans for small- and medium-sized firms. Internationally, he has consulting and training experience with organizations in Australia, Lithuania, Romania, Moldova, and Taiwan.

Dr. John H. Jackson is professor of management at the University of Wyoming. Born in Alaska, he received his BBA and MBA from Texas Tech University. He worked in the telecommunications industry in human resources management for several years before completing his PhD in Management and Organization at the University of Colorado. During his academic career, Dr. Jackson authored six other college texts and more than 50 articles and papers, including those appearing in ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT REVIEW, JOURNAL OF MANAGEMENT, HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, and HUMAN RESOURCES PLANNING. He has consulted with a variety of organizations on HR and management development matters and has served as an expert witness in a number of HR-related cases. At the University of Wyoming, he served four terms as department head in the Department of Management and Marketing. Dr. Jackson received the university's highest teaching award and has been recognized for his work with two-way interactive television for MBA students. Two Wyoming governors have appointed him to the Wyoming Business Council and the Workforce Development Council. Dr. Jackson serves as president of Silverwood Ranches, Inc.

Dr. Sean R. Valentine is the University of North Dakota alumni leadership and ethics professor and professor of management. Originally from Texas, he received a BS in Management/Human Resources from Park University, a BS in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management from New Mexico State University, an MBA in Business Administration from Texas State University, and a DBA in Management from Louisiana Tech University. He was employed in the hospitality industry for many years and was an officer in the Army National Guard. During his academic career, Dr. Valentine published more than 75 articles in journals such as HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, HUMAN RELATIONS, HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT QUARTERLY, EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES AND RIGHTS JOURNAL, JOURNAL OF BUSINESS RESEARCH, JOURNAL OF BUSINESS ETHICS, JOURNAL OF PERSONAL SELLING & SALES MANAGEMENT, CONTEMPORARY ACCOUNTING RESEARCH, and BEHAVIORAL RESEARCH IN ACCOUNTING. His primary research and teaching interests include human resource management, business ethics, and organizational behavior, and he has received numerous awards and other recognition for his work. He also has consulted with a variety of organizations on different business matters.

Dr. Patricia A. Meglich is associate professor of management at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Born and raised in Ohio, she earned her BSBA from Bowling Green State University; MBA from Cleveland State University, and PhD from Kent State University. Prior to entering academia, she spent 20 years as the human resources director for an automotive supplier, where she designed and implemented talent management programs and participated in numerous acquisitions and business process reengineering initiatives. Dr. Meglich was active in professional activities with SHRM and was awarded the national SHRM Award for Professional Excellence. She is certified SPHR and SHRM-SCP. She has published numerous articles in scholarly journals such as EMPLOYEE RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES AND THE JOURNAL OF APPLIED BUSINESS and ECONOMICS. She has developed several learning modules and course materials for SHRM and has received a number of teaching awards at UNO. She serves as a visiting professor at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and the Osnabruck University of Applied Sciences. She is committed to bridging research to the practice of HR and ensuring that HR professionals have timely, relevant information needed to successfully lead their organizations to success.

awesome sequel to the secondworld

I learned of this author through podiobooks. (Just wanted the author to know this worked in his favor.) I started ordering books, and I believe the Origin series was where I started. Then I found Jeremy Bishop, who is Jeremy Robinson. The Bishop books are more horror oriented, and they are excellent as well.

While I am Cowboy can be read as a stand alone book, I recommend reading Secondworld first. In Cowboy, the Nazis are back. They have taken an archaeologist, Pasha, in the hopes of finding entry into an old Atlantean site. The whole adventure takes place in a warren of underground tunnels. This adventure is very much in the same vein as the Indiana Jones adventures, but the author manages to hook several of his books together.

Like Indiana Jones, the Cowboy is a smart guy, a writer and researcher of conspiracies. He hopes to prove that several of these are true. Because of this writing, he came to be on the Nazi's hit list. It seems that some of his writings hit the Nazi nail on the head. The Nazis had frozen some of their favorites, including Hitler. They thawed them out in the future in an attempt to make Secondworld in the future. The Cowboy is back, and he has more of the frozen chosen that he needs to kill before they institute their newest plan to take over the world.

It was fun and interesting. It was great getting to know the Cowboy a little better.

I Am Cowboy is a Gift

This is the book that all the fans have been waiting for.

I Am Cowboy follows the continuing adventures of Milos Vesely, the gunslinging Czech cowboy from Jeremy Robinson's SecondWorld, and once again he's elbow deep in frozen Nazis hell bent on destroying the world and "cleansing" Earth of anyone who is not pure Aryan.

Milos is easily likeable with his sense of humour, his chivalry and his accent and definitely one of the good guys.

It's now safe to say that I've read every book thus far penned by Robinson and I'm now getting to the title of my review.

From chapter 31 onwards, Jeremy gives his readers one of the greatest gifts that a writer can bestow to his/her fans... A CROSSOVER NOVEL! However, this crossover novel spans three other novels and I don't know about anyone else, but I squee'd as I read the closing chapter and epilogue as I instantly recognised each instance that Milos experienced while holding on to the whoops! I don't want to spoil it for anyone else ;)

I Am Cowboy is a brilliant read and one I highly recommend to everyone.

Fantastic book

Only Jeremy Robinson could weave such an awesome story. He has a knack for developing characters. This book is a spin off of Second World (which was incredible), and lays the groundwork for other books in that universe. Of you have never read Robinson, just take my word for it and buy every available title. I did. Even the ones under a different pen name. Every book from this author is superb. If you like a good story, pick any book of his. My favorites are the Chess Team novels, Second World, and the Antarktos books.
This book involves the Cowboy, an awesome character from Second World. It's action packed from the get go. I would love to see more books involving this character, hopefully stand alone novels as well as with Lincoln Miller. Great book and a fun read. Finished it in 2 days. Enjoy!

When I'm not writing I like going to concerts. Music is a big part of my life, I've played bass guitar since I was a teen. I love nature and enjoy hiking and working with causes that help protect our planet and wild animals. I have loved books all of my life and have always enjoyed escaping the ordinary world by getting lost in a good book. I read a lot of different genres of books but have fallen in love with MM. I support the gay community and hope one day people will see that love is love and that it is a beautiful thing no matter your gender, race or religion. Joshua and his story have been in my head for years but I never took the time to write it. With encouragement from some fellow authors and friends I took the leap and now all of you can get to know my characters and I hope you love them as much as I do.

Hot Romantic Read!

Keeping Joshua was an excellent book. It’s book 2 in the Joshua Series. I loved Loving Joshua, the first book, when Joshua and his best friend left home together and landed jobs in the porn industry. I was so happy there was a book 2 to follow up on their lives together. The first book is about how Joshua and Max found love and continued their tight relationship. You have to envy the friendship between them. It’s unbreakable. This is a friendship we would all love to have. The book was well written. The characters were well-defined in both books.

Keeping Joshua, book 2, gives us a glimpse of Joshua and Michael’s life as a married couple. They had some issues that were hard for Joshua to deal with. This leads Joshua to his friend Max to lean on for support. Of course Max and Sam help Joshua and Michael.

The hard times between Joshua and Michael helped build their relationship and make it a stronger one that will last for many years. Some other characters come into play from book 1.

Joshua will always protect his Max who I fell in love with. It was nice to see Max step and help his friend when he was in need. They have a healthy exchange.

Michael grew in this relationship as well. He sometime overworks to keep himself safe emotionally, but their misunderstanding made Michael see how much he truly loves Joshua and that he’s going to be there with him in long haul.

And before I forget, this book had some amazingly hot scenes. You have to read it to enjoy it.
I was so happy to learn there will be a book 3 in the Joshua Series and another one with an offshoot about some characters from book 1. Excellent job on your characters. Such lovable characters. All four characters are dear to my heart. (Joshua, Michael, Max and Sam.) I recommend this book if you love M/M romance. Lots of hot scenes.

Love This Series!

What is it with this series? From the moment I started the first book, Loving Joshua, I fell in love with Joshua and Max. When they both found their partners, Michael and Sam, I was completely smitten with them as well. Add their close friends Kyle and Christopher, and guess what? Yep, crazy about them too. That's exactly why this series appeals to me so much. All the characters are warm, loving, impish, funny, endearing, loyal, hot and so down to earth that I feel like I could meet any one of them on the street and start a conversation with them.

Keeping Joshua continues the with a troubled relationship brewing between Joshua and Michael. Michael has expanded his business from not only film, but to an online magazine and eventually a printed circulation. With all this going on, Joshua is also very much in demand as a model. Enter Layne, their gorgeous neighbor from a few homes away who also models with Joshua and it's a perfect recipe for disaster. Unfortunately, we sometimes take for granted the people who are most dear to our heart and the only way we realize it is when we've pushed them away and they're gone. Love how Max is there to support and fix his crumbling friend. He is quite possibly the most adorable character that I've ever read in any book.

Michael and Joshua get their happy ending. As a matter of fact, it's a REALLY happy ending! How could they not? This isn't a deep, dark story. This is a light, feel good series and such a breath of fresh air to read. Grein Murray did a great job continuing their story with the perfect balance of love, lust, angst and friendship with her great cast of characters to add tons of fun along the way. I definitely recommend this series!

Very Talented Author

To get everything you can from this book, you have to read book #1 first. I like the way the author shows the realism in Joshua and Michael's relationship by giving them realistic problems that all couples face. It also shows just doing our job at work, and getting too focused on that can interfere with our personal life to a dangerous level where our partner can start to feel unwanted. It also shows that love isn't always a smooth road, and that any relationship worth having is worth fighting for. I really like how the keeps everything from the story line to the dialog realistic and down to earth. Book #1 and #2 of Joshua's story are wonderful and I look forward to more stories from this author.

Haven't read a romance novel in a while. This story was very romantic about to very stubborn people that did not communicate. That happens in real life so often. Great book.

Silent Night Or Murder Night?

December is a very special month where everyone lives in peace and harmony, especially for the Christmas holidays. Reva Dalby, the daughter of the wealthy owner of Dalby Department Store, is not having her best December, though. Someone starts sending her weird little presents, she finds a needle in her lipstick, and yes, someone wants her dead. She has committed bad actions before and has done bad things to other people. Reva has everything anyone could want and does not think that something bad can actually happen to her. But soon she realizes how wrong she was. Then the horror begins.
Reva is one of my favorite R.L. Stine characters. She's quite different from other main characters in other R.L. Stine books. If you want to read something different from R.L. Stine, you should read this book. You won't want to put it down.

A super-chiller for all horror readers!

"Silent Night" by R.L.Stine holds many suspenseful and surprising moments. One of my favorite parts was when Reva, the main character, gets gifts that are sent to terrify her. The card she gets with everyone of them reads: "Happy Holidays From A Friend."
This Christmas horror is so realistic that I actually felt like I was one of the characters. The ending is very unpredictable. The villians were the last that I suspected. Reva changes from cold-hearted to good-hearted by the end of the book. The death of a loved one makes Reva act the way she does. I can understand why she would try to act brave and tough, but I don't understand how she could be so cruel.
The setting was perfect for the book and added quite a bit to its suspensefulness. This book was one of the best I've read. I reccomend this spine-tingling tale to anyone who likes horror stories. I look forward to reading both sequels to "Silent Night."

"Jingle Bells . . . Santa Kills!"

As a way to get money and revenge for being fired at Dalby's Department Store, Paul "Pres" Nichols, his girlfriend (Diane Morris), and older brother (Danny) plan on holding the owner's daughter (Reva Dalby) for ransom--except everything that could go wrong does, like kidnapping the wrong girl: Reva's poor cousin, Pam Dalby, one of the few characters who makes a reappearance from the previous book. Almost all the other characters in here are new. Like in the first "Silent Night," Reva isn't in the forefront of this sequel very much (a lot of time is spent on the kidnappers), though she is still as cruel as ever, apparently not learning her lesson from a year ago.
If you liked this book, then you'll probably enjoy the other two: "Silent Night" and "Silent Night 3."
