This is the newest edition of the DSM and has been helpful in understanding the changes that were made. Just like the prior editions, it provides definitive info for differential diagnosis.

Need For Medical Tests

This book is good because it reaffirms that instead of just prescribing dangerous drugs, psychiatrists should run standard medical tests. Many of the symptoms of which patients complain are caused by endocrine, allergy or other physical ailments that are not treated with psychiatric drugs but just worsen.
